Another Rock and Roll Show     (Rick Bacus)
from the album Morningstar (1978)

I bought my ticket, week ago
I stood in line all night, just couldn't miss the show
Tension mounts, I'll take a stand
You know there's nothing too big to make me change my plans
But every night's the same story
There's always someone out there who tries to claim all the glory
Kick him out, but he'll be back
He bought a seat for the next show just to show off his act

Another Rock and Roll show cost me ten bucks to go
Felt my heart beating fast as they took to the stage
Another Rock and Roll show everybody who knows
Said the music won't last, it's a total outrage

There's been some trouble with the crowd
You know they're too hot to handle and the volume's too loud
Security, to the stage
You know there's someone up here who isn't acting his age
But every night's the same story
There's always someone out there who tries to claim all the glory
Kick him out, but he'll be back
He bought a seat for the next show just to show off his act

(Chorus)

See the problem with today
Is that there's too many bands and too few places to play
But that's a chance we all take
Everyone clap your hands to the music we make
But every night's the same story
There's always someone out there who tries to claim all the glory
Kick him out, but he'll be back
He bought a seat for the next show just to show off his act

(Chorus)
